THE RCHC CHARTER

The mission of the Roane County Heritage Commission goes beyond the  courthouse; the charter calls for the preservation and protection of historically significant buildings, sites, artifacts, ephemera, photographs, and documents of importance to Roane County. Because of resource limitations, not all elements of the charter can be active at once. The present core tasks are: to restore and preserve the Historic Courthouse;  to operate the Museum of History and Art; and to Index and preserve documents, records, artifacts, and phoographs in the archives library.
 

MEMBERSHIP TO THE RCHC

The Roane County Heritage Commission is dedicated to preserving historic things and imparting historic knowledge to future generations. You can be a part of this important mission by joining the RCHC. Membership categories and associated dues are:

Individual - $25/yr

Business - $50/yr

Family - $35/yr

Student - $10/yr

Friend - $100/yr

Life - $250 to $500 (Available for persons 65 and older)

Patron - $500/yr and up
