William Thomas GALLAHER (1849-1928)
HOUSE, 54th Assembly, 1905-07, representing Roane County; Democrat. Born in Tennessee Aug. 11, 1849; son of George and Lucinda (KING) GALLAHER; exact place of birth and extent of schooling not stated. Married, date and place not indicated, to Ella BROWDER, daughter of John and Minerva (MATLOCK) BROWDER; children--William Franklin, Vida A., George Browder; and Mrs. Robert IRVIN. Occupation, farmer at Wheat, Roane County; operated a farm in partnership with brother, Albert, 1868-72, in 15th civil district of Roane County. Named county road commissioner, 1903. Member Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Died at Wheat Jan. 6, 1928; buried in family graveyard nearby.
