Walter H. ANDERSON (1886-?)
HOUSE, 59th General Assembly, 1915-17; representing Roane County; did not attend Ex. Sess. of Assembly, Mar. 21-31, 1916; Republican. Born at Mount Pisgah, Wayne County, Ky., May 29, 1886; son of Luke and Jane (YOUNG) ANDERSON. Attended public schools of Scott County; Williamsburg Institute, Whitley County, Ky.; graduated, 1902, from Knoxville Business College, Knox County; studied law at Cumberland University, Lebanon, Wilson County. Married Nov. 11, 1905, to Emma BOWLING, daughter of William BOWLING; children--Walter H., Jr., Stephen Arnold Douglas, and Gus Carr. Came with parents to Scott County, 1887; mined coal in early life and later worked as bookkeeper before beginning practice of law at Harriman, Roane County, in 1910; at undetermined date following close of first session on May 17, 1915, he removed to Commerce, Tex, where he was living in 1926. Member Baptist Church; Free and Accepted Masons; Junior Order of United American Mechanics; Knights of Pythias. No information on subject later than 1926.
