HOUSE, 73rd and 74th General Assemblies, 1943-47; representing Roane County; Republican. Born at Crossville, Cumberland County, June 26, 1902; son of E.P. and Ada (FLYNN) BREWER. Attended elementary school of Crossville; high school at Pleasant Hill, Cumberland County. Married at Doyle, White County, Feb. 23, 1925, to Velma TAYLOR, daughter of Jerry C. and Emma (HASTON) TAYLOR; children--Billy T. and Jere Ann. Engaged in business at Harriman, Roane County; owner of Five to Five Fabric Shops; operates theater; director in First National Bank of Harriman. Alderman one term; member power board. Member official board of Methodist Episcopal Church and president Adult Bible Class; Free and Accepted Masons; Order of the Mystic Shrine and sometime secretary of Roane Shrine Club; sometime president of Kiwanis Club and of Chamber of Commerce; Young Men's Business Club.
