HOUSE, 69th General Assembly, 1935-37; representing Roane County; Republican. Both at Kingston, Roane County, Apr. 15, 1897; son of Oliver Temple and Elizabeth Anne (ELLIS) TIndexLL. Attended University of Tennessee and John R. Neal School of Law, both in Knoxville, Knox County; admitted to bar, 1933. Nothing found to suggest that he was ever married. Associated with father in practice of law at Kingston. Elected president, 1936, Young Mens Republican Club. In World War II; enlisted in U.S. Marine Corps at Nashville, Davidson County, Aug. 4, 118; stationed first at Paris Island, S.C., next at Quantico, Va.; after duty in Cuba, Haiti, and at Charleston, S.C., was honorably discharged Dec. 20, 1919. Member Presbyterian Church; Knights of Pythias; Indexpendent Order of Odd Fellows. Present address not indicated. Son of Oliver Temple TIndexLL, sometime member Tenn. General Assembly.
