"State of Tennessee, Roane County. Know all Men in these Presents:
Henderson Deatherage and Allen Deatherage are held and firmly bound unto the State of
Tennessee, in the sum of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to be void on condition that
there be no lawful cause to prevent a Marriage from being solemnized in the County of
Roane between Henderson Deatherage and Elizabeth Walker.
Witness our hands and seals, this 19th day of February 1863.

having the care of souls, or any Judge or Justice of the Peace for said County: Greeting:
I, Austin L. Greene, Clerk of the County Court for the County of Roane aforesaid, by
virtue of the power in me vested by Law, do License You, or either of you, to celebrate
the RITES OF MATRIMONY between Henderson Deatherage and Elizabeth Walker (Elizabeth is
lined through and Nancy is written
below) by uniting them together as HUSBAND AND WIFE. Given at Office ,in Kingston the 19th day of February 1863, and of American Indexpendence the 87th.
