McEwen  McEwen Store
Compiled by Robert L. Bailey

The Roane County Heritage Commission owns one of the McEwen & McEwen Store Registers from 1836 and 1837, which was located in Kingston. The register lists the name of the person buying the goods on credit and the items purchased (not included here). Often items were bought by other family members such as wives and children. Unfortunately, in many cases the name of the other person purchasing the goods is not given. The September through December 1836 purchases are listed here.
