I John R. HUGHES Justice of the peace for Civil District No. 4 Roane County Tennessee do certify that the foregoing is a correct list of all the white male persons between the ages of (18) eighteen & (50) fifty residing within the limits of my district who came forward and had their names enrolled with the five days notice which I gave them as autherized by the proclamation of Gov. JOHNSON.

In compliance with a Proclamation of Andrew JOHNSON Military Governor of Tennessee issued 13th September 1864, making it my duty as a Justice of the Peace to enroll all able bodied male persons white and colored betweent he ages of eighteen (18) and fifty years (50) and to deposite one certified copy of the enrollment with the Clerk of the County court and also to forward one copy to the Adjutant General at the seal of Governmenet, below I submit a list of all the white males between the ages specified, within the 6th Civil District of said county with description.
