Private Acts index |
Robert Bailey, the County Historian, and his associate made an effort to obtain this material and condensed it, but it is still quite lengthy. There does not seem to be a lot of genealogical information per se, but for serious Roane researchers, the laws, boundaries, etc. will most likely be of interest. It should help to locate ancestors' locations who lived near county borders, among other things. It is broken down into smaller sections, so that it will facilitate loading time for your browser. If you are looking for a particular person, try the search engine on the first page--and don't forget to try offbeat spellings.
