The last will and testement of Allen D. Morrison of the county of Roane and state of Tenn.

I, Allen D. Morrison am now old. considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter, Nancy S. Brown the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) to be paid to her when she becomes twenty one years of age to be put at interest after my decease. I appoint my son Thomas B. Morrison guardian for my grand daughter Nancy S. Brown and that he be paid out of the interest of that six hundred dollars for all his time and expense necessary spent in looking after that business. if he thinks necessary he is hereby authorized to use of the interest to assist in the raising and schooling of my grand daughter Nancy S. Brown. the principal of the above six hundred dollars is hereby forbidden to be drawn upon unless my grand daughter Nancy S. Brown is likely to come to sufferance. if she my grand daughter Nancy S. Brown dies before she becomes twenty one years of age, then this part of my will is null and void in that case I will that the above six hundred dollars be given to my three sons viz: Francis M. Morrison, Marquis L. Morrison, and Thomas B. Morrison, to be equally divided between them.

Second: I will that all the rest of my property both real and personal estate goods and chattles of what kind and nature soever, be distributed between my wife Elizabeth Morrison, and my three sons, Francis M. Morrison, Marquis L. Morrison and Thomas B. Morrison according to the laws of the State of Tennessee. I hereby appoint my son Thomas B. Morrison sole executor of this my last will and testament to manage and wind up all my business in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the 3 day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred ninty (1890)

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by Allen D Morrison the testator in the presence of each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament and we at his request sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses. Nov 8, 1890.

Whereas I Allen D. Morrison of the county of Roane State of Tennessee have made my last will and testament in writing beaing date the 3rd day of November 1890, and have thereby given my wife Elizabeth Morrison one third as dower in my lands. Now I do by this my writing I hereby declare to be a codicil to my said will to be taken as a part thereof do will and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Morrison all the proceeds of the farm on which I now reside for her support and paying the Tax so long as she lives. if it makes more than is necessary for her support my Executor is authorized to use such surplus to keep up necessary repairs on Farm and buildings. At the death of my wife Elizabeth Morrison my land is to go to my three sons namely Francis M. Morrison, M. L. Morrison and Thomas B. Morrison so as to make them equal heirs to my estate. I now revoke so much of my will as makes my son Thomas B. Morrison my Executor and appoint J. L. Waller as my Executor. Given under my hand and seal this 1st day of February 1894.

The above instrument of one sheet was at the date thereof declared to us by Allen D. Morrison to be a codicil to be annexed to his last will and testament and he acknowledged to each of us that he had subscribed the same and we at his request signed our names hereto as attesting witnesses. This February 2nd 1894.

Then was the forgoing last will and testament of Allen D. Morrison deceased, together with the codicil thereto produced in open court, and its executions and declaration duly proven by the oath of G. H. Moore and Robert Waller the subscribing witnesses thereto and adjudged by the court to be the last will and testament of Allen D. Morrison decd. Admitted to record and ordered to be certified and recorded.
